Harry Chapin Run Benefits Fred's Pantry

The 40^th annual Harry Chapin Memorial Run/Walk Against Hunger took place virtually this year between October 10 and October 18, 2020. The event benefits five Westchester County-based nonprofits including Fred’s Pantry x CHHOP. 

Singer/songwriter Chapin was an active philanthropist who had a vision to end world hunger. He was a co-founder of World Hunger Year, now called WhyHunger, and Long Island Cares, now known as the Harry Chapin Food Bank. Before the event, the Harry Chapin Foundation hosted a live streamed Facebook discussion about how each of the groups works to alleviate hunger.
